Can I top up my own wallet, or only someone else's?

Yes. You can top up your own GoPay, OVO or DANA wallet, for example to pay by QRIS on a trip, or someone else's, such as a family member's or friend's.

• Your own wallet: tick "This is my own wallet" when you add the recipient, and your name is filled in for you. The wallet must be registered in that name.
• Someone else's wallet: enter the wallet holder's name and number exactly as registered with GoPay, OVO or DANA.

The same limits apply to every wallet: a standard wallet holds up to IDR 2,000,000 and receives up to IDR 20,000,000 a month, and an upgraded wallet holds up to IDR 20,000,000 and receives up to IDR 40,000,000 a month.

Kangaroo Service sends the top-up to the number you enter, so check it before you confirm.

A top-up to your own wallet is reported to AUSTRAC in the same way as any other international transfer.
