Yes. Kangaroo Service can send to both personal and business Indonesian bank accounts. We will pay out to whichever account details you provide for the recipient.

Make sure the account name you enter exactly matches the account holder name on the recipient's bank record, banks in Indonesia enforce strict name-matching on incoming foreign transfers, and a mismatch can cause the transfer to be rejected or held for review.

Can I send to a digital wallet in Indonesia?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Kangaroo Service supports payout to GoPay for Indonesian recipients. Other Indonesian e-wallets (OVO, DANA, LinkAja, ShopeePay) aren't supported as direct payout methods at this time.

To send to a GoPay account you'll typically need:
• Recipient's Full Name, must match the GoPay account details.
• Recipient's Phone Number, used as the GoPay account identifier.
• Amount to Send, the amount you wish to transfer.

If your recipient doesn't have GoPay, you can also send to any Indonesian bank account.

Does my Indonesian recipient need to provide a KTP to receive money?

Accepted Answer

No. Kangaroo Service pays out directly to bank accounts in Indonesia. We do not handle cash, and we do not require your recipient to present their KTP (Kartu Tanda Penduduk) to us.

Your recipient will have already provided their KTP when they opened the bank account, so they do not need to provide it again to receive a transfer through us.

Are there OJK or Bank Indonesia reporting requirements I should know about?

Kangaroo Service will process any amount you instruct us to send to Indonesia. Reporting obligations to OJK (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) or Bank Indonesia (BI) on the recipient's side are normally handled by our licensed payout partner in Indonesia, which we have no direct control over.

Kangaroo Service only works with licensed entities in every jurisdiction we operate in, so if your transfer triggers a reporting obligation, our payout partner will fulfil it as required.

For taxation implications on either side of the transfer, we suggest you consult your accountant or tax adviser.

Which Indonesian e-wallets are supported besides GoPay?

Accepted Answer

At the moment, GoPay is the only Indonesian e-wallet supported as a direct payout method through Kangaroo Service. Other popular wallets, including OVO, DANA, LinkAja, and ShopeePay. Are not yet available as direct payout destinations.

If your recipient does not have GoPay, you can still send money to any Indonesian bank account, and they can typically top up most e-wallets from their bank balance.
