Kangaroo Service will process the amount you instruct us to send for bank payouts to the Philippines. For very large transfers, we may ask for additional documentation — if you're planning a sizeable transfer, contact us first and we'll guide you through it.

Regarding BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) or SSS reporting on the recipient's side: these obligations are handled by our licensed payout partner in the Philippines, which we have no direct control over. Kangaroo Service only works with licensed entities in every jurisdiction we operate in, so if there is a reporting obligation that applies to your transfer, our payout partner will fulfil it as required.

For taxation implications on either side of the transfer, we suggest you consult your accountant or tax adviser.

Mobile wallet payout is not currently enabled at Kangaroo Service for the Philippines. Today, we deliver funds to the Philippines exclusively via bank deposit to a Philippine bank account, using the InstaPay and PESONet local clearing networks.

If your recipient has a GCash, PayMaya, Coins, or GrabPay account, a common workaround is to send to their linked Philippine bank account — they can then top up their wallet from the bank balance themselves.

Can my recipient pick up cash at Cebuana, MLhuillier, or Palawan?

Cash pickup is not currently available as a Kangaroo Service payout method in the Philippines. Today, we deliver funds to the Philippines via bank deposit to a Philippine bank account, using the InstaPay and PESONet local clearing networks.

If your recipient prefers cash and does not have a bank account, one option is for them to open a GCash or PayMaya account — both can be set up on a smartphone in minutes, link to a partner bank, and the funds can then be withdrawn as cash at partner ATMs and outlets.
