Is Kangaroo Service a licensed remittance provider for the Philippines?
Yes. Remittances to the Philippines are handled under licence on both ends of the transfer.
In Australia, Kangaroo Service is registered with the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) as a Remittance Dealer. Remittance businesses cannot legally operate in Australia without being on the AUSTRAC Remittance Sector Register, and that registration governs how we verify customers, monitor transfers, and report as required.
In the Philippines, funds are delivered by a payout partner supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), which regulates remittance and transfer companies there. Payouts reach your recipient's bank account through the InstaPay and PESONet clearing networks.
Why this matters for a family remittance
Filipino families receiving regular support from Australia are relying on money that has to arrive in full and on time. Sending through licensed channels on both ends is what makes that dependable:
- The amount is fixed when you confirm. Your recipient receives exactly what was quoted, with no deductions in transit.
- Every transfer is traceable. If something needs chasing, there is a reference and a regulated partner on the other end.
- Your details are handled under Australian law, not left with an informal operator.
If you would like to verify our registration before sending, or you have questions about how a regular remittance to the Philippines is best set up, contact our team and we will walk you through it.
