Is Kangaroo Service a licensed remittance provider for Pakistan?
Yes. Kangaroo Service is registered with the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) as a Remittance Dealer. Australian law requires any business providing remittance services to be on the AUSTRAC Remittance Sector Register.
In Pakistan, funds are delivered through banking channels supervised by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the regulator for home remittances into the country.
Sending through formal channels
Pakistan is one of the largest remittance-receiving countries in the world, and the SBP actively encourages families to receive money through formal banking channels rather than informal networks. Sending through a licensed provider means:
- Your transfer arrives as a documented home remittance into your recipient's bank account.
- The funds are traceable end to end, with a reference you can follow up.
- Your recipient is not asked to collect money from an unregulated intermediary.
This also matters if your recipient holds a Roshan Digital Account, which is designed specifically to receive funds from overseas Pakistanis through formal channels.
