Sending to a countryChina
Should I send CNY or USD to China?
Whether to send in CNY or USD is best decided by your beneficiary, not by you. Our bank account payouts to China are strictly for B2B (business-to-business) transfers, which typically means dealing with a Chinese supplier — and the supplier will tell you which currency they want to receive based on their own bank's preference and reporting requirements.
A few practical differences between the two currencies:
- Fees: there is no difference in what you pay us, regardless of which currency you choose.
- Speed: USD payouts usually take 3–5 working days to settle, while CNY payouts usually arrive in 1–3 working days.
If your supplier hasn't told you which currency to use, ask them — getting it wrong can mean the funds are returned or held for clarification.
